Answering the Calling—Even If Late

It wasn’t an easy or obvious decision. After a 15-year career as a successful marketeer, Roksana walked away from the structure, the paycheck, and the corporate status to pursue something far less predictable—acting. She started from scratch: acting classes, finding a coach, securing an agent. “I dived into it like a blind kitten,” she says. But what she lacked in experience, she made up for in pure heart.
That leap of faith didn’t just redefine her career—it redefined her life.
Age Is Not a Deadline
In a world obsessed with youth and early success, Roksana is proof that it’s never too late to start. Her mindset—rooted in defying clichés and embracing individuality—makes her stand out in a sea of sameness. “Screw society’s stereotypes,” she says. “Life’s too short not to enjoy it to the fullest.” Her story resonates with anyone who’s ever questioned if they were “too old” to change paths.
She’s not trying to fill a gap or fix what’s broken—she’s simply moving forward, following her instincts, and embracing everything that lights her up.
Choosing Projects That Stretch the Soul

For Roksana, every project is more than a role—it’s an invitation to grow. She gravitates toward opportunities that challenge her, align with her values, and allow her to keep learning. Whether it’s a new acting role, hosting, singing, or even trying stand-up comedy, she sees each endeavor as an exercise in neuroplasticity—a way to keep evolving, both creatively and personally.
She turns down anything that doesn’t feel right. If she can’t connect with the story, she won’t tell it.
Milestones Measured in Courage
Roksana’s proudest moment wasn’t getting cast or going viral. It was the day she chose to not return to the corporate world—despite the financial uncertainty—and decided to bet on her joy. It’s a decision she made knowing full well that it might come with less income and more instability, but for her, fulfillment is the truest form of success.
“Success isn’t a paycheck,” she reflects. “It’s loving what you do and actually enjoying your life.”
What’s Next: Talk Shows, Stand-Up, and New Rhythms

The path Roksana is carving now is wildly dynamic. She’s gearing up to host Season 2 of Rising Stars, a talk show that explores the journeys of Montreal-based creatives. She was once a guest on the show—and now she’s the one steering the conversations.
She’s also stepping into the exhilarating (and terrifying) world of stand-up comedy, with two more performances already lined up after a successful debut. On the musical side, she’s performing again at open mics and dreaming of joining a cover band. And after a hiatus from hip hop dance, she’s back in the studio—and eyeing tap dancing as her next frontier.
Of course, acting remains at the heart of it all. She’s auditioning, staying ready, and saying yes to the opportunities that align with her passion.
A Living Example of Possibility
Roksana’s story is a reminder that dreams don’t come with expiry dates. That starting over isn’t failure—it’s bravery. That joy, when followed fearlessly, leads to the most meaningful kind of success.
She may have ignored her calling for decades, but now she’s living it—out loud, on stage, and completely on her own terms.
