She has also created a learning platform, “Mindworx International School of Intuition”, to share her knowledge and help others connect with their intuitive abilities. 1. You’ve been working as a psychic medium for 12 years. What initially drew you to this path, and how did you realize you had this gift?

This path wasn’t something I actively pursued; it seemed to find me. Initially, I was working as a corporate writer and translator and had been accepted into a midwifery program at university for a new career direction. However, I started offering readings casually for friends and was guided to do this. To my surprise, everyone was amazed by the insights I provided. For example, while casually giving my close friend a reading, It uncovered a family secret that no one was aware of, leaving her utterly astonished. I seemed to develop a different persona when reading, gaining an intimate knowledge about people’s lives that I hadn’t previously known. I applied for a position as a professional psychic at a shop that offered readings, where I was quickly offered half of the available days. I soon became fully booked with clients traveling from across the country. This unexpected shift significantly reshaped my career. Over the years, my work has deepened my understanding of the human spirit and the afterlife, allowing me to assist others in their emotional and spiritual healing. A therapist has remarked that my sessions condense the benefits of an entire year of traditional therapy into just one hour, and I take great pride in that. I am also committed to teaching others how to access their own intuitive abilities and psychic gifts, primarily through my training platform, “Mindworx International School of Intuition”, where I offer online courses and interactive training to support individuals in developing their intuition and connecting with spirit.

2. You’ve successfully built a thriving business based largely on word-of-mouth. What do you think sets you apart and resonates with your clients on such a deep level?

I’m pleased with the success of Amanda Jay Psychic Medium, which allows me to maintain a good work-life balance while supporting my children. I’m grateful for the long-term clients who have sustained my business over the years and have recognized my mediumship and medical intuitive abilities. I am currently developing Mindworx, a new platform for online courses focused on personal and spiritual development. My aim is to provide practical tools that empower individuals to strengthen their intuition and manage life’s challenges effectively. Although still in the early stages, the goal is to demystify psychic abilities and mediumship, making them accessible for everyday life. With over 12 years of experience in my business, I’ve built a reputation for being down-to-earth and straightforward, steering clear of traditional psychic clichés—there’s no crystal ball in sight. I embrace a modern approach, even modeling part of the Shane Ave suits collection, reflecting my polished, professional style. I often describe mediumship as translation, joking that I “speak both Dutch and ghost.” I take pride in helping grieving clients navigate their loss with a nurturing touch.

3. Mindworx International School of Intuition is an exciting new venture for you. Can you share the vision behind it and how you hope it will impact those who enroll?

Mindworx is built on years of experience working with clients from all walks of life, including celebrities. Over that time, I’ve come to view intuition as an internal navigation system that can guide us through everyday challenges. Much like learning to use a car’s GPS, everyone has the potential to develop their intuition, but many don’t know how to access it when they need it most. One example of this happened when I was reversing my car. My reverse camera showed nothing behind me, but something told me to stop. Moments later, a pedestrian wearing headphones appeared, and I realized that my intuition had likely averted a potential accident. This is just one of many instances where developing intuition can be a valuable skill for navigating life—whether for parents, investors, or anyone seeking clarity in decision-making. Through Mindworx, I hope to create a space where people feel empowered to explore and strengthen their intuition, whether they are aspiring professionals or simply looking to enhance their everyday lives.

4. You’ve helped many people through grief, including those who have lost loved ones. How has your personal experience with grief influenced your work with clients?

The most profound impact I can make is helping people find peace in their lives, especially those who are grieving. My work allows people to reconnect with their loved ones who have passed on, which brings tremendous healing. But beyond that, I want to empower people to realize that death is just a transition. Knowing this can help alleviate the fear and anxiety that so many of us feel. Additionally, by teaching others to sharpen their intuition, I can help them navigate life’s challenges in a much more grounded and confident way.

5. Your work combines grief counseling, medical mediumship, and psychic readings. How do you balance these different aspects of your expertise to offer clients a holistic experience?

Losing my brother to suicide was one of the most challenging experiences of my life, and it deepened my understanding of grief and loss. This personal experience has enriched my work by allowing me to empathize with clients navigating their own difficult emotions. I often reference the Kübler-Ross model of grief in my sessions, as I see families in my office who are still grappling with their loss before their loved ones are even laid to rest. By integrating grief counseling with mediumship, I create a holistic experience that acknowledges the emotional pain while also helping clients connect with the spirit world. This combination often sharpens their own intuition, enabling them to find comfort and guidance during an incredibly difficult time.

6. You’ve mentioned the importance of intuition development, especially for everyday decision-making. How do you see this skill benefiting people in their personal and professional lives?

I believe intuition development is something that can benefit everyone—whether you’re a parent, an entrepreneur, or simply someone looking to make better decisions in your daily life. Many people think of psychic abilities as something supernatural, but in reality, it’s just like tuning into a GPS system that we all have, the intuition. I want to help people learn how to use this ‘inner GPS’ to live more intuitively and purposefully. Whether it’s knowing the right time to make a big life decision or sensing danger before it happens, intuition is an incredibly practical and powerful tool. I remember playing intuition games with my mum as a child, like guessing a number between 1 and 100 or identifying images on cards. It was so much fun, and I think it’s a valuable skill to teach kids. I now run similar games on my social media, using Zener cards and photo reading exercises. People enjoy the challenges and often achieve better results than they expect.

7. You’ve been recognized as a celebrity psychic medium. How has working with high-profile clients influenced your career, and what unique challenges or rewards come with it?

Working with high-profile clients has been an interesting  aspect of my journey as a psychic medium. I view every client as equal, but the stakes feel slightly elevated when interacting with celebrities and public figures. I tend to feel a bit more nervous at first because clients often come with high expectations, which is exactly why they choose me—I am confident in my ability to meet those demands. While cost is rarely a concern for them, they prioritize quality and, more often than not, complete privacy.

8. What are some common misconceptions people have about psychic mediums, and how do you challenge these stereotypes through your work?

Over the years, my psychic abilities have evolved significantly. At first, I didn’t fully understand them, but with time, experience, and training, I’ve honed these skills. One of the biggest insights I’ve gained is that psychic abilities aren’t as mystical as people might think—they’re simply another sense we can develop, much like intuition. Interestingly, many psychics, including myself, come across as regular people. We may not have been overly spiritual by nature or upbringing; we just happen to have this gift. When I meet new people, I don’t always mention my work as a psychic medium—I may say I’m a therapist. While many people find it fascinating, I understand that some might find it unusual. Though they may be misinformed, I can see why they might feel that way. Maintaining a balance between the spiritual and everyday world is essential for me, and I’ve found that staying grounded helps me to better assist others.

9. Your courses at “Mindworx School of Intuition” will be available internationally. What key skills or lessons will students take away from your training programs?

My training programs cover a range of topics, including manifestation, subconscious work, life path design, and intuition development at all levels. I also offer professional psychic and mediumship training, starting a psychic business, and mediumship as a separate course. It’s important to note that mediumship and psychic or intuition development are very different things. Mediumship involves using intuition at its highest level, often requiring additional training in therapy if pursued professionally. My goal is to make these skills accessible to everyone, whether they’re looking to deepen their personal growth or pursue a career in this field.

10. Looking ahead, what are your aspirations for the next phase of your career, both as a psychic medium and as a mentor to the next generation of intuitive practitioners?

After working in this field for so long, I’ve become deeply guided by the universe and its signs. I have certain signs that resonate strongly with me, and when I share these experiences with others, it often surprises them how powerful and clear these messages can be. This level of connection happens when you become attuned to both the universe and your own abilities. Embracing your intuition and psychic gifts can bring clarity, purpose, and alignment, helping people make more informed decisions or heal emotionally, leading to a more empowered and fulfilling life. Currently, I am channeling these insights into my first book, which is scheduled to be published in 2025, where I hope to inspire others to tap into their own intuitive power.

Amanda Jay‘s 12-year journey as a psychic medium has been shaped by her deep understanding of the human spirit and her desire to help others heal. Through her work, she has supported many individuals in navigating grief and finding peace. Amanda’s upcoming Mindworx “International School of Intuition” reflects her commitment to sharing her insights and experiences with others interested in developing their own intuitive abilities. As she transitions into a mentoring role, she aims to provide guidance that fosters personal growth and understanding of psychic gifts.
